The 1958 Alifabolaget Pelé issue (#635) stands as the definitive rookie card of the sport's most celebrated player and a cornerstone of vintage soccer collecting. Issued in Sweden in the same year that 17-year-old Pelé led Team Brazil to its first World Cup title by defeating host nation Sweden, 5-2, the card captures the pivotal moment his legend shifted from local prodigy to global phenomenon. In the deciding championship game, Pelé scored two goals and set records as the youngest player to ever appear and score in a World Cup final.

The diminutive European issue measures just 1-1/4" wide by 2-14/16" tall and features a youthful Pelé portrait set above his printed name on the front, with a concise Swedish-language bio of the burgeoning newcomer on the reverse. This is widely regarded as one of the most important fútbol cards ever produced and remains an essential target for any serious global football collection. PSA cert 62611073.
